Project scope includes discovery/requirements; image development; build; migration of OS, user profiles, data using USMT; ITSM process design/implementation; interfacing/coordinating with Application and End User interface Project Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and maintain the Project Management Plan (PMP) and detailed project schedule; identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and tasks. Formulate and define the problem, scope, impacts and objectives of programs and projects and analyze alternatives to deliver more value than expected within the same cost and schedule parameters. Understand end to end processes and impacts. Perform project schedule analysis to identify critical path and resource issues.

Partner with Senior Management, maximizing departmental expertise to achieve goals. Present project proposals, plans, issues and recommendations to senior management.

Prepare high level estimates (time, resources, cost) as needed, confirming with others who have experience in the affected areas. Identify skills needed and work with functional managers to assure complete and appropriate resourcing including maintenance of the project data in the Project Portfolio database.

Provide consistent project reporting and communication, including roadmaps, milestones, overall schedule, financial status and business and IT impacts.

Manage technical resource project performance, both internal and external.

Manage the project from initiation through delivery, warranty, and closure: Collect and report on plan-to-actual progress to the project schedule, at individual project task and overall project levels. Manage project documentation within the project notebook, including status reports, meeting minutes, risks, issues, decisions, action items and other communications. Plan and manage successful change implementation, change communication and any organizational change efforts introduced by the project and ensure post production changes are sustainable and work properly. Conduct project kick-off and on-going meetings; capture decisions, issues, actions items and impacts. Assign and monitor project team member work; provide support and direction. Manage the project budget, if applicable.

Proactively identify risks and issues; assign ownership across all levels and drive risks and issues to resolution. Build relationships with project stakeholders, including project sponsor and executive sponsor to ensure meeting customer expectations and continue to refine and manage to those expectations through the life of the project. Consult with management on an on-going basis to maintain strategic link to business needs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

· 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise infrastructure projects. Concentration in Microsoft operating system migrations using USMT preferred.
