Logisolve is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst who is responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and the ability to apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support – for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

Rate: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $65.00-$75.00 dependent on qualifications and experience

Location: Hybrid, Minneapolis, MN (4 days a week)

Duration: 6-12 months, potential contract to hire

Position type: Contract; US Citizen or Green Card holder only, please.

What will you do?

  • Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities
  • Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates
  • Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties
  • Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology
  • Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
  • Apply advanced elicitation techniques to work with different types of stakeholder groups
  • Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology
  • Review, analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support business strategies.
  • Create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of Experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation

Nice-to-have

  • Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)
  • Masters Certificate in Business Analysis
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA-CBAP or CCBA)
  • Agile Certification (CSM, CPO)
  • Trading systems experience

successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Ability to ask relevant, probing questions of SME’s, regardless of authority level
  • These are both data heavy roles, so experience with API, SQL and data mapping are required

Cost Basis:

  • Must have: Cost basis or back-office experience (Support of Trading or Operations teams)
  • Nice to have: This person will be looked at to help assign work and lead day to day tasks for the BA team, so experience as a lead BA/BSA would be helpful
  • US WM is undertaking a discovery and analysis effort to define requirements and design for modernization of the USWM cost basis technology platform.  The platform provides critical account realized and unrealized gain/loss information to over 80 downstream applications. The enhanced platform will reduce regulatory, resource, and service quality risks associated with operating the current platform, position operations to scale to meet future growth, and enhance interactions with field partners.
  • Strong driver needed, with BSA/Data Analyst skill set
