Greetings! I am Katie Pierce, the new Director of Human Resources. I will do my best to fill the shoes of BK, as she transitions out into retirement. I know this will be no small task, especially with her tenure and expertise. She will be missed greatly. I have enjoyed getting to know the team so far and especially the face-to-face time with sales and recruiting last Tuesday. I love the positive high energy!

I come to Logisolve with my MBA from Lakeland University and 10 years of HR experience gained from manufacturing, transportation, distribution, and health care industries. My HR experience consists of full-cycle recruiting, compensation and benefits, payroll, employee relations and performance management.

Interesting fact my undergrad degree is in marketing, and I previously had a dual role where I was doing both marketing and HR. I was able to utilize my marketing education by helping to create a new website with e-commerce using the Magento platform. During that time, I even did some basic HTML work. I think that may be the closest I ever come to working in IT, I think I better stick to working in HR. 😊

Some personal insight about myself, I grew up in the small town of Bloomer, WI which is also known for being the “Jump Rope” capital of the world. My wonderful parents still live in Bloomer in the house where I was born and raised. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends at our cabin in Minong, WI. I love boating, hiking, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, and many other outdoor activities.

My biggest passion is traveling. Oddly enough, I enjoy solo trips more than trips with friends or family. I did my second solo trip to Europe a few months ago for a cruise and it turned out to be one of my favorite trips. A more recent trip I enjoyed was with my boyfriend in his plane to Madeline Island. He has been trying to convince me to get my private pilot’s license, we will see, that might end up being a personal goal for 2024.

Interesting tidbit, I only have three states left to visit. Can you guess which three states they are? I will give you a hint, they are not very fun or exciting.
