A Modern ePrescribing Platform for the Connected Prescriber

The Physician Portal is a web-based ePrescribing platform built on Logisolve’s Gateway, which manages connectivity, while the Portal drives clinical workflows — from patient selection to prescription delivery and pharmacy interactions.

Prescription Management

Create, review, and send prescriptions through a web interface. The portal covers the full lifecycle: drafting, editing, electronic transmission, cancellation, and error tracking. Compound prescribing is supported, including multi-ingredient formulations with individual concentrations, custom dosage forms, and compounding instructions.

CPDP SCRIPT Transaction Support

  • The portal supports the core NCPDP SCRIPT message types in the
    prescriber-to-pharmacy workflow:

  • New Prescription (NewRx) – Send to retail and mail-order pharmacies
    via Surescripts

  • Cancel Prescription (CancelRx/CancelRxResponse) – Cancel with standardized reason codes and receive responses

  • Change Requests (RxChangeRequest/Response) – Handle substitutions, alternatives, prior auth, and out-of-stock notices

  • Renewal Requests (RxRenewalRequest/Response) – Approve, deny, modify,
    or replace refills

  • Additional NCPDP SCRIPT message types (RxHistory, RxFill, Resupply, Recertification, Real Time Pharmacy Benefit) are supported at the gateway and can be enabled as needed

Patient, Prescriber & Pharmacy Management

  • Patient Records – Demographics, contact info, default pharmacy. Search by name, MRN, or DOB.

  • Prescriber Profiles – NPI, DEA, licenses, and Surescripts registration. Track eRx activation and MFA nominatio.

  • Pharmacy Directory – Search by name, location, service level, or specialty. View contact details, licenses, and supported transactions.

Dashboard & Message Center

  • Highlights items needing attention: renewals, change requests, recent prescriptions, and errors. Filter by type, status,
    date, patient, or prescriber.

Integrated Drug Search

  • Powered by RxNorm. Search by name or dosage form, capturing NDC, RxCUI, and units at prescribing.
    The Drug Service is swappable. Plug in an existing database or formulary through the same API.

Modular Microservices Architecture

  • Independently deployable services including Patient, Prescriber, Drug, and Prescription connected by APIs. Each owns its data, allowing components to be replaced or extended with existing systems. Swap or bypass the Patient Service if your EMR has a registry. The Prescription Service only needs a patient reference. Same for the Drug Service. Reuse
    what you have.

Role-Based Access Control

  • Physicians see only their prescriptions. Staff manage patients and view status but cannot send. Admins have full visibility and control over profiles, users, and configuration.

Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances (EPCS)

  • Includes a stubbed EPCS integration point. Identity proofing, two-factor authentication, and audit logging are defined and ready for implementation. Choose a vendor such as Exostar, ID.me, or IdenTrust and integrate with minimal changes.
