The [Solve] Friday January 19

Trusted to Deliver

Happy Friday! We’re thrilled to welcome a talented group of consultants to our team this month, each bringing unique skills that will undoubtedly elevate our work!

This week, John Nilson, our Senior Technical Recruiter, delves into the pivotal role relationships play in our industry. Discover insights, tips, and the latest updates in this week’s edition of The Solve.

Relationships

By John Nilson | Sr. Technical Recruiter

Today we are discussing relationships. I have written on this topic previously and wanted to update the article again, with examples of what we encounter in today’s work environment. As the workplace returned to normal our clients have transitioned to hybrid attendance, and our consultants are onsite one or two days per week and in some cases, onsite daily. Most individuals I meet now are interested in these opportunities, and I have heard remarks about the desire to interact with colleagues again, and welcome the return to the office. There is no substitute for in person collaboration!

As a recruiter, I have placed individuals after meeting with them and establishing relationships on a personal level. This used to involve some type of face to face meeting, usually in my office or perhaps a coffee shop for convenience. Today, that meeting might take place with a video meeting as technology allows us flexibility to be proactive, without a need for in person meetings, and has eliminated delays trying to coordinate calendars. Now, I can meet with my candidates and consultants on short notice with minimal inconvenience.

Here at Logisolve, our business is based on relationships and most openings Logisolve has to fill are a result of the relationship our sales team has with that client. The primary focus of our role is to proactively recruit the “top 10%” of talent in the marketplace. With existing consultants referring colleagues, and family members to us recruiters it helps to expand our networks and place quality talent with our clients. I have established relationships with the individuals I have recruited and placed. There are people I placed decades ago that have become clients as a result of their career path, and are now decision makers. They still call me. I hope to hear from you too!

Volunteering Opportunities in 2023

Join Logisolve as we volunteer at the Flourish Food Market every first Wednesday of each month throughout 2024. We’re seeking volunteers from our network to support various shifts, available from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 1 PM to 3:30 PM. There’s dedicated workspace on-site, which can be used before or after either shift. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Minneapolis community. If you’d like to learn more or want to sign up for a shift, please reach out to Amanda Zais at azais@logisolve.com. Your interest and consideration are greatly appreciated!

We’re thrilled to welcome new additions to our team this January!
