Changing Seasons

By John Nilson, Sr. Technical Recruiter

Today we will discuss Changing Seasons!

Fall is in the air, after our hot dry summer the dog days have ended as Autumn makes its approach with beautiful colors, crisp cool air in the mornings and comfortable afternoons. This is the time of year to take stock of what’s needed for winter preparations.

Usually, one will look at their home to ensure it is weather tight and draft free, one may look at their vehicles and perhaps have all fluids checked and maybe putting on the winter tires in preparation for the snow season. There are a number of great tips in this article from Weather Underground and worth a quick review:

Another topic one could look at is changes in their career. Once the summer has ended and we look forward to the bustle of the fall and Holiday seasons, is it time to look at new opportunities? Vacations are complete and kids are back in school, the 4th quarter is a very active time for job changes and personal advancement/development. Here at Logisolve we have a number of opportunities we are working on that you will find challenging and rewarding. Reach out to me or one of my recruiting team members to learn more! Logisolve is opening to partnering with new consultants on a salaried, hourly or independent status, ask me for details!

Logisolve & AWS celebrate Beanware’s Well-Architected Framework Completion

Members from the AWS team and Logisolve’s team gathered Monday night at Top Golf to celebrate their recently completed review of Logisolve’s Beanware solution based on AWS’s Well-Architected Framework and the go-live of our first Beanware client (Pinehurst Medical Clinic). The AWS Well-Architected Framework is based on extensive direct experience of AWS working with customers running applications for a wide range of use cases. It uses a methodical, collaborative approach to understand how the customer’s application aligns with each pillar’s set of best practices. This was completed by reviewing our existing Beanware application against the pillars of the WAR framework.

The pillars of the AWS’s Well-Architected Framework are:

  • OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE The ability to run and monitor systems to deliver business value and to continually improve supporting processes and procedures.
  • SECURITY The ability to protect information, systems, and assets while delivering business value through risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • RELIABILITY The ability of a system to recover from infrastructure or service failures, dynamically acquire computing resources to meet demand, and mitigate disruptions such as misconfigurations or transient network issues.
  • PERFORMANCE EFFICIENCY The ability to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements, and to maintain that efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve.
  • COST OPTIMIZATION The ability to avoid or eliminate unneeded cost or suboptimal resources
