What is FLOURISH?
Flourish is the first plant-based food market in Minnesota. They provide access to healthy food options to communities where these options can be difficult to come by. From grains, beans, fruits/vegetables, spices and personal hygiene items. The market is open from 1 -3 every Wednesday and free to the community. Community members check in with minimal information and then shop the market.

Flourish is located in the basement of a church – 3501 Aldrich Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408.

Who does FLOURISH partner with?
Flourish works with a few different organizations to help with the food market.

1. Ace in the City – Most of us are familiar with Ace in the City as Logisolve has partnered with them for many years. Flourish Food Market is an extension of Ace in the City.

2. Rooted Green Wellness – Rooted Green Wellness creates 1 meal a month to the community with the ingredients found in the Flourish Food Market. They also provide recipe cards throughout the market to encourage and support whole food plant-based lifestyle.

3. Second Harvest Heartland – Partners in providing plant-based options for the market.

Volunteering at FLOURISH
Logisolve has committed to volunteering the first Wednesday of the month. Our goal is to get volunteers from the Logisolve’s leadership team, billing consultants and retired consultants. Each opportunity is broken into 2 sessions. The first session is from 11:00 – 1:00 and a little more labor intensive and the second session is from 1:00 – 3:15 while the market is open is a bit lower key. Matt Anderson, Associate Director will be onsite to assist with guidance and help out as needed.

Setup Team 11:00 – 1:00
2 – 3 Volunteers ideal for this shift

• Bring the delivery in from outside
• Stock shelves
• Fruits/Vegetables in the middle bins and table
• Nonperishables stocked on shelves
• Put away frozen/refrigerator items
• Breakdown boxes and bring to recycling
• Label items with quantity limits
• Tidy up market (ie. sweep, face shelves, wipe down counters…)

Market Team 1:00 – 3:15
2 – 3 Volunteers ideal for this shift

This team welcomes shoppers and is a resource to the shoppers. This team will work independently doing one of the 3 stations. Typically, an initial rush and then tapers out. Bring some light work or a book.

• Station 1 – Greet and Check-In
• Station 2 – Bag Counter
• Station 3 – Market Eyes/Assist with Questions
• Clean up once the market closes at 3:00
• Put any remaining produce that will last another week into the fridge
• Clean-up
• Dispose of produce that will go bad by next Wednesday
